Diseases Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF)

Dengue fever (DHF) is an infectious disease that is still a health problem, almost every year the incidence of disease continues to increase the number and distribution of its spread. The diarrhea disease is caused by a virus that is transmitted by the mosquito Aedes aegypti with an interest in the stagnant water reservoirs.

Dengue fever is characterized by high fever continuously for more than 2 days, weakness, joint pain, sometimes accompanied by manifestations of bleeding such as nosebleeds, red spots on the skin and or nausea and vomiting of blood. Shock and decreased consciousness is a dangerous condition for people with dengue fever, because without the help of a good and true they can lead to death.

Patients should be treated immediately if found the following symptoms:

  •   Heart rate increases.
  •   The skin was pale and cold.
  •   The pulse weakens
  •   There was a change in level of consciousness.
  •   The patient looks sleepy or fall asleep constantly.

The only business of disease prevention or control of DHF is to combat mosquitoes that result in transmission of Aedes aegypti breeding places, especially in man-made, such as plastic containers, used automobile tires and other places that hold rainwater. These mosquitoes bite during the day, resting in the house and lay their eggs in places where stagnant water.

Efforts to prevent dengue fever are to drain the water reservoirs, water and shelter close to hoard the stagnant water reservoirs.
